In the section dealing with the 150th anniversary of the start of the first omnibus service in London in 1979, Sir John Betjeman is stated as being "one of the guests." As the personal assistant to London Transport's then Chief Public Relations Officer, I assisted with arrangements for the event and I'm sure that Sir John made the opening speech.
