As per Google search results, "Garib Niwaz" has 23,10,000 results while "Gharib Nawaz" (former title of this wikipedia article) has 6,23,000 results. Besides, "Gharib Nawaz" has overlapping search results with a Muslim person "Mu'in al-Din Chishti", thereby having a greater chance of drawing confusion to the readers. Besides other scholars' works, in most cases of Manipur-based books articles (in both English and Manipuri languages), the term "Garib Niwaj" or "Garib Niwaj" is used. The spelling "Gharib" and "Nawaj/Nawaz" used by some (not all) non native scholars may be out of ignorance of the localized spelling or maybe due to the Persian original terminological influences to them, as Persian language is more famous than Manipuri. --Haoreima (talk) 20:56, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
In case of "Garib Niwaz", even the bracketed "(Manipur)" can be removed, because it does not overlap with any famous or notable person (who has any article in wikipedia) yet.
If anyone has any queries or doubts about this, please feel free to discuss with me. Haoreima (talk) 21:01, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
