Gianna's birth mother per admission and Shaver biography

edit

In authenticating Gianna's story for those who doubt, the identity of Gianna's biological mother has always raised questions. There is reliable evidence that she is dead now, though, so her anonymity isn't as necessary to protect.

The Shaver biography indicates the woman they found and information the PI/records uncovered were Tina Holder, born in California, in 1959. Only one Tina Holder matches this information in California birth records, as does "Baby Girl Holder/Moore" being born in LA on Gianna's birthdate.

Public records and the Shaver biography show this same woman, Tina Doris Holder, married a Lewis and was in Indiana, as the Shaver biography states, after the marriage, though she returned to both California and Texas.

A "Tina D. Lewis", going by the Twitter handle @TinaDeets, started Tweeting claiming to be Gianna's mother, providing details that do match and suggesting the biographer lied, claiming she was an alcoholic when she wasn't. Her Tweets stop September 3, 2015. Tina Doris Holder Lewis died September 7, 2015, and several links, including a memorial photo taken by the sister named in the biography, and a blurred photo on the linked FB page of Tina when she was younger all suggest this was the birth mother.

WP:BDP and WP:BLPPRIMARY apply here. You are violating policy. Please do not use this article as a platform for violating policy; my activity as an IP editor is considerably more legitimate than yours as a WP:SPA. 2600:8800:1880:91E:5604:A6FF:FE38:4B26 (talk) 06:15, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm using the article platform for getting correct information out to people which has been obtained by multiple third party sources, which are listed. But do I need to go further? Do I need to, for example, source the exact page in the Shaver biography that identifies Tina Holder, born in 1959, as her biological mother? Do you want me to link to the "Baby Girl Holder" in FamilySearch's records of California births, etc? I thought linking to the official obituary was enough to establish that the woman PIs identified as Gianna's mother is now deceased, and has been for over two years per policy you referenced.

The identity of this person has been at the heart of much of the controversy, both those attempting to place Gianna as a complete farce and those who believe her story. Wikipedia is supposed to be about facts. Many ask why the birth mom isn't talking. Well, the reason why is she's dead. Truthorconsequences22 (talk) 00:30, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Appropriate sourcing for Ganna's actual birth weight?

edit

Currently the article says that Gianna weighed only 1.1 kg at birth, or 2.5 lbs. No source is listed for this fact.

The evidence she places on her own Twitter feed, and published by Jill Staneck in her archived blog here shows Social Services documentation stating a birth weight of 1360 grams, which is 2.998 lbs. However, given that the documentation as presented by Gianna is certainly a primary source, and some may not consider Jill Stanek's blog a reputable secondary source.

Are there guidance from the experts in how to properly source her birth weight? Many sources that seem to meet the Wikipedia standards as "secondary sources" report she weighed "only 2 lbs", which seems to come from her 1996 Congressional testimony. Which is contradicted by the documentation she herself has provided in order to validate her story. Should reliance on "secondary sources" as Wikipedia policy be outweighed by the inaccuracy of such secondary sources, especially when it doesn't present a "novel interpretation" of an event? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:3780:B00:BC49:DB61:5971:FEF6 (talk) 17:22, 29 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
