I have assessed this article at "Start class". This is because it has a serious referencing problem. Although there is a lot of excellent information in the article, nearly all of it is referenced to one website. The article could easily move up to C-class if more sources were used to verify the information given. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:14, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have removed from the lead the mention of Cooper's married title en secondes noces. Many famous actresses married, but it is not lead-worthy to mention in the leads that e.g. Beatrice Lillie was Lady Peel, Edith Evans Mrs Booth, Peggy Ashcroft Lady Hutchinson, Sybil Thorndyke Lady Casson and so on. The information would, of course, be wholly suitable in the details in the main text. Comments from any other editors who watch this page will as usual be much appreciated. I agree with the change by User:Tim riley. This actress was always known as Gladys Cooper. Her married title was not a form of address that she commonly used, and adding that information to the Lead is merely distracting. The information about the marriage is given below. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:34, 27 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
