OSU Images

edit

I added these two images (that I'm 98% sure are her!), from the OSU Flickr stream.

. The same Flickr album https://www.flickr.com/photos/oregonstateuniversity/albums/72157670117462398/ has an even better picture of her here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/oregonstateuniversity/27929533427/ ... however the EXIF date on that is 2016, so is highly unlikely to have been taken by OSU as part of the fellowship. In other words, if someone wants to upload it, don't, without asking Dickie personally to release it, since it's most likely her personal photo, and not OSU's. As a side note, another one of the people in the photos on ship board and standing on that island in that album should be Sandi Doughton, who also needs a photo, but I couldn't say which one she was. If someone knows, please say! --GRuban (talk) 23:57, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Silver seren: I added both these images to the article, only to have the first one removed and replaced with the second by an IP editor. Do you agree with the IP that the second one is strictly better, especially in the infobox you just added, or did you just not know the first was an option? I think especially in an infobox, the shorter one would look better, while the longer one would look better in the body, but if you don't agree, will leave it alone. --GRuban (talk) 23:16, 19 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I was not aware. I don't really have an opinion on which is better, photograph-wise, but I fully agree the smaller one fits better on the page. So I've swapped them. SilverserenC 23:22, 19 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
