Talk:Goal (sports)

Split
editThis article should be split in two: one for structure, one for result of the score. In most other languages those are two different words which makes it hard to do interwiki. I guess most of interwiki now is incorrect for this article, because bots use this article to link 2 terms in other languages. Papushin 02:31, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject class rating
editThis article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 10:11, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editI proposed that Goalpost and Internal goal stanchion be merged here, I don't think we need articles on the separate constituant parts of the goal...... ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:56, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

- Support I was going to object thinking that goalpost was a noun and goal is a verb, but then I realized that "goal" could be a noun as well. This article could easily fit in with the "structure" section of this article. --Pinkkeith (talk) 15:22, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
- Support surprised this hasn't already been done. Skitzo (talk) 22:21, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Can we add more about the NHL goal horn section — Preceding unsigned comment added by Florida Panther77 (talk • contribs) 03:11, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
Barca Video
editWow, the video is really bad as you can't see the goal from 200m away and a person's arm in the way. There's gotta be better videos of goals here on wikipedia. If not make it amateur, but from a close view. -Koppapa (talk) 12:22, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Should field goal redirect to the American/Canadian football concept?

Disambig
editWhy does the disambig read "sport" as if Goal was a sport? Shouldn't it be "sports" indicating it is a term related to that type of activity? --uKER (talk) 21:08, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
