Though I acknowledge that a move is quite widely supported, the RM itself is premature per Ellsworth's point that the birth-year controversy should be resolved first. - Oppose. So far as I can see, the "birth-year controversies" have not been resolved – see #Birth-year controversy above and on the other talk page. Until this birth year can be firmly verified, Wikipedia should not title pages with possibly false information. WP:NCSP, backed by community consensus, is crystal clear on what to do when birth dates cannot be determined, as shown in the November 2021 move request. P.I. Gentle reminder that move requests are NOTAVOTE, so even though there is growing local support for these page moves, closers should strongly consider that sources are all mixed up when it comes to the birth years of this footballer/football coach and of the other footballer by the same name.
