Sources
editThe article presently quotes "one IMDb reviewer." Generally, IMDb users aren't considered appropriate sources for citation on Wikipedia. If, however, it's one of the external reviews to which IMDb provides a link, then it might constitute a reliable source by Wikipedia's standards. Lawikitejana (talk) 03:10, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
GA review
editThe GA review of this article is currently taking place at /GA1, and is transcluded below.
GA review 1
edit- The infobox image is a screenshot... is it possible some sort of promotional poster or something, that's what's generally used there...
- I couldn't find a poster or promotional material, but I've added a screenshot of the opening title card, so hopefully that should be ok.
- The lead needs a bit work; there's no mention of reception or music (which are sections in the article)
- Sorted.
- The references need formatting...try {{cite web}}; they at least need publisher info and an access date.
- I think I've sorted these now.
- I think plot sections generally go before production and other such things.
- Switched order - you're right, that's a better order.
- It's a shame there's so little information available on the film.... nothing more on reception or anything?
- Unfortunately, this film has drifted into obscurity, which is partly why I've had a go at collating all the information I could find about it. As far as I know, those really are all the sources about it, at least on the internet. I guess 1989 is quite a long time ago to have old reviews about still.
Please leave me a note when you are done. Cheers, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 01:18, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, I've had a go at sorting a few things out - I've answered after the bullet points. Bob talk 09:22, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

editWhy is this a (film) page, when Granpa redirects here? It would be simpler to lose the (film) bit. – How do you turn this on (talk) 22:23, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Discussion pertaining to non-free image(s) used in article
editA cleanup page has been created for WP:FILMS' spotlight articles. One element that is being checked in ensuring the quality of the articles is the non-free images. Currently, one or more non-free images being used in this article are under discussion to determine if they should be removed from the article for not complying with non-free and fair use requirements. Please comment at the corresponding section within the image cleanup listing. Before contributing the discussion, please first read WP:FILMNFI concerning non-free images. Ideally the discussions pertaining to the spotlight articles will be concluded by the end of June, so please comment soon to ensure there is clear consensus. --Happy editing! Runtime
editThe Sony 1992 VHS ISBN 1-56406-544-8 sleeve says "Running time: approximately 30 minutes". The video cassette itself says the same. The article infobox currently says 26min. The three segments on youtube total just 25min. But IMDb says 35 min! Why? Has some been cut along the way?-96.237.73.114 (talk) 16:30, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- IMDb is mainly user-generated, so is probably mistaken. As you note, the VHS sleeve is only approx - it was probably in their interests to round up the time to make it look like it was worth buying the tape! Youtube's version cuts off the end by a few seconds - I think the 26 minutes here is probably the most accurate. Bob talk 18:59, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
