Regarding Change in name of Bengaluru
editDear All,
The name Bengaluru of the city is officially accepted by the Government of Karnataka and will remain same in all languages including English. Attempts were made to change the name Bengaluru to Bangalore on this page. But we Kannadigas prefer Bengaluru over Bangalore. So please understand and cooperate.
Thank You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Srinidhisu (talk • contribs) 11:47, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
- We don't go by preference of a class of people or society. Wikipedia does not work that way. See WP:5P. Per WP:COMMONNAME, the name will remain Bangalore. Any more attempts you make to change it to Bengaluru, will be disruptive. It is also clear from your message above that this edit was made by you. — Abhishek Talk 12:46, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
