Year of Griess publication

Most papers give the year of the original publication of the Griess assay as 1879. Upon reading the publications, this appears to be the more correct option. I am no chemist, but in the 1858 article Griess is not describing it as clearly as in 1879 (or something else entirely?). Striderjo (talk) 20:35, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
