editThe name of the page should be changed since the habibganj railway station has been renamed. Abheygpt1 (talk) 11:52, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Abheygpt1 Read WP:COMMONNAME. even the official process of renaming is not complete yet. see Habibganj to Rani Kamalapati station: Know how names of Railway Stations are changed and who has the authority?--Venkat TL (talk) 15:01, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Venkat TL how 'bout now? it's done now but someone has removed the option to change the page name🤦 Confused guy 152 (talk) 00:08, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONNAME would still apply. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:03, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- It has been 3 years since the name change, so I don't think there is any need on further clarification whether this is officially recognized or not. Even Indian Railways (IR) has made consequent changes related to this. I propose the page's name should be changed to 'Rani Kamalapati Railway Station'.
- Logically the page should be called with the official name over the older name. This doesn't contradict with / violate Wikipedia:COMMONNAME protocol, since 'Kamalapati Railway Station' has gained wider recognition as compared to 'Habibganj Railway Station'. At present, maximum journals and newspaper use the latter word (Kamalapati) instead. Kad Bous (talk) 18:27, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not how it works. We have to have a new move RfC consensus here. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:40, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Then I think we should proceed with it. Kad Bous (talk) 08:53, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Kad Bous: Do not do undiscussed unilateral moves, like you did with the talk page today. Open a new move RfC in the talk page for WP:CONSENSUS. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:18, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

MP government had requested MHA to change the name few days ago. It had received the approval 2-3 days ago and then a notification was published in gazette.

Linking
edit@Toddy1: Aside from wikilink to 'India' I think rest of the wikilinks could be retained. Azuredivay (talk) 04:58, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- I have done a partial self-revert as a result of checking each of your proposed changes. One of the principles in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking is
When possible, avoid placing links next to each other so that they look like a single link (a "sea of blue")
.- The rebuilt railway station was opened in November 2021 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- This is overdoing it. The two links are immediately adjacent and look like one, and the Prime Minister of India link does not add much.
- The Ministry of Railways privatised Habibganj railway station in June 2017, making it India's first private railway station.
- This is overdoing it. The two links are immediately adjacent and look like one. Nevertheless you have a point; wikilinking the word "first" is unclear: first private railway station is a better solution
- As of January 2020, Bhopal has non-stop flights to New Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Raipur.
- Though it is an awful lot of blue in a sentence, the links are separated by commas and the links are genuinely useful, since it helps readers who do not necessarily know where all these places are. So I will concede that one, provided that we use the agreed commonly used English-language name Bangalore.
- near the suburb of Sant Hirdaram Nagar (formerly known as Bairagarh)
- The linked article is on the railway station not the suburb. I would have no objection to
