Nickname
editThe cognomen (nickname) of the 15. century Turkish general is Hadim, which in Turkish means 'eunuch'. It is not 'Hadan' which is not Turkish. Thus, the title of this article needs changing. (UTC)Noyder 11:23, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think there are different spellings for the name. --Thus Spake Anittas 13:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- This person was an Ottoman Pasha and Ottoman Pasha's carry a Turkish name. 'Hadan' is not a Turkish word; even with Ottoman Arabic script, the cognoname 'Hadim' cannot be read or spelt as 'Hadan'. The argument that there are different spellings do not hold water!! As calling a person by a name that is not his, it is an insult to his dignity. Numbers in army and causalities
editThese numbers do not make rational sense. The army is made up of provincial levies of Rumelia. At the stated time, the numbers given could not have been collected together. The date is in the middle of winter; winter in Balkans is wet, cold and it is impossible to conduct military operations with such numbers all across that terrain. Again, there would not be any provisions, neither in state hands nor in private peasant hands to commandeer, to meet the needs of such a large army moving across Balkans at that time of the year. So I have deleted those irrational numbers. Noyder (talk) 13:47, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
There is an interwiki link to Turkish Wiki. But Hadım Süleyman Paşa in Turkish Wiki and Hadım Süleyman Paşa in English Wiki are two different people. Turkish Wiki refers to a paşa who lived in 16th cen. and English Wiki refers to another paşa who lived in 15th cen. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 14:43, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- No Hadan Pasha in tr-Wiki. So Interwiki-tr is cleared.

Consequently, the Eunuch Süleyman Pasha 1538 reached the shores of Gujarat, Mahmud Shah, like its predecessor, but this time against the Turks in particular beslemiyordu sympathy.
Hadân (Hadim?) Suleiman Pasha
editIs this the same person : Hadim Suleiman Pasha ? Lajbi Holla @ me • CP 13:49, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Nope. And considering he was an eunuch, most likely they weren't even related.Anonimu (talk) 23:44, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
