Han Yu (pool player)

  • ... that pool player Han Yu did not celebrate after winning her first world championship? "HANDS DOWN FOR HAN!". pro9.co.uk. Retrieved 9 June 2019. Afterwards, while explaining how it all happened, Han displayed the same quiet fortitude that she had on the table. No boasting, no wild celebrations, no getting too impressed with one's achievements
    • ALT1:... that pool player Han Yu scored a golden break in the final of the WPA World Nine-ball Championship, which was awarded as the referee didn't call it as a foul shot? "HANDS DOWN FOR HAN!". pro9.co.uk. Retrieved 9 June 2019. Sometime in the subsequent rack, a tournament official came over and informed the referee that the golden break of Han was actually an illegal break, meaning that three balls hadn't passed the head string. But since the referee hadn't called it, and nor did Lin, the golden break stood.

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts for ALT0 are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright or plagiarism issues. I have struck ALT1 as the golden break is not mentioned in the article. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:15, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Quick failing on length. Though GA has no length requirement, I do believe that this article is simply too short and fails criteria 3a with only 358 words of prose. The § career section consists almost entirely of her entering a tournament and who her final competitor(s) were, and the lack of other sections outside of this leaves a lot to be desired. The only except to this (and borderline at that) is the paragraph on the WPA Women's World Nine-ball Championship. Definitely because she is Chinese I know local media on her will be limited and difficult to access, but the article in its current state simply lacks too much, such as perhaps elaborating on her education and training if there are sources for it at all.  LunaEatsTuna (💬)— 03:04, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
