- AFAIK (and obviously I'm no expert), blog content like that could perhaps be used as a source, but never the one and only source. The problem with blogs is that they are user-generated, meaning anyone can write anything they want, and they often do. If the blog author were a recognised expert on the subject, and the blog piece were backed up by credible citations, then there could be some merit in it, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
