Carnegie
edit- Why the Carnegie name? I don't know where it comes from: "sponsorship by Leeds Met" doesn't help, and nor do the official sites. Who is/was this particular Carnegie in the first place? 86.132.136.234 00:29, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Carnegie Physical Training College was the sports college that joined with other colleges (in two stages) to form Leeds Met and is now the name of their sports faculty. See Leeds Metropolitan University and here. HTH. BlueValour 01:17, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

editI have removed this image from the article. It was taken from a website with no clear audit trail that demonstrates that the copyright holder has given permission for the photo to be published on Wikipedia. It should remain out until the copyright status can be clarified. BlueValour 16:55, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- This image was taken from Flickr Free, a section of Flickr (run by Yahoo) which requires the user to agree that the images are available under GFDL before they post the images. If you look here under section 6 f. it states that any user agrees to "...not use the Service to..." "...upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party". --Chappy84 17:57, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- The link that you have provided has not lead me to a definitve statement that sucj images are available under GFDL. Can you provide a tighter reference, please? BlueValour 02:56, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- 1. Here is the album the original photo is from, notice all photo's say public, and that it's simply a persons personal gallery of a game which took place at the ground. 2. Here are the community guidelines which have a section on "Copyright Infringement". 3. Here is their "Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy" which states that "It is Yahoo!’s policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who may infringe or repeatedly infringe the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of Yahoo! and/or others." All of these along with the link previously provided in my previous post quite clearly show that all of the work posted on the web-site must be free of copyright, and thus GFDL, before being posted there as Yahoo are as much concerned about copyright infringement as Wikipedia are. --Chappy84 11:13, 13 October 2006

- Image is licensed under cc-by-2.0. See image description page. On the left there are couple other photos, tags and then "Additional Information." If you scroll on two c in a circle where it says "Some rights reserved" you will be directed to description of this license. These two cc's have nothing to do with photo being "public." "Public" simply means that everyone can view it and not only friends or people by invitation. The links to copyright infringement pages also have nothing to do with this. Seperate Articles
editShouldn't this be split into two different articles, one for the rugby stadium and one for the cricket? Lord Cornwallis (talk) 03:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Cardigan Fields
editWas this site known as Cardigan Fields before the stadium was built? Was England national rugby union team's 1884 Home Nations Championship match against Wales played here? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 18:09, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

From today (1st November) the stadium is now the Emerald Headingley Stadium. Can someone make the appropriate changes? For more info see https://www.therhinos.co.uk/2017/11/01/welcome-emerald-headingley-stadium/ 2A00:23C4:9E03:B200:35A0:299:2B73:E1B1 (talk) 15:34, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
Test Status
editThe article talks about wanting to 'regain test status' but this seems to be out of date as there's a test match between England and India at the ground in August 2021. Perhaps this part should be removed, or changed to explain how test status was lost and regained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:CB15:336:CF00:BDC4:67CE:80F0:2924 (talk) 00:37, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
