The Henery Hawk song...

edit

Back in the 1950's or 60's there was a 78 record with a song about Henery Hawk. We had a copy of it in our house (I think my two oldest sisters were the original owners). I don't remember the title of the song, but the lyrics were quite catchy:

"There's a baby chicken hawk who has just learned to walk; He hasn't even learned to fly. Although he's very small, he thinks he's big and tall; In fact, he thinks he's really quite a guy.

Henery is his name and he's really not to blame When his chicken-huntin' itchin' starts to quicken; He's gone out to stalk like a grown-up chicken hawk, But Henery's never ever seen a chicken!"

On the reverse side was a song about Foghorn Leghorn. Does anybody else remember that record? I can't remember who recorded it. I tried to "google" the lyrics, but I couldn't find anything.97.73.64.161 (talk) 15:31, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Tweety's High-Flying Adventure

edit

Henery showed up in this movie as one of the bookies and control room monitors for Tweety's race around the world but it's not mentioned anywhere on his article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.233.202.120 (talk) 16:42, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Flop Goes the Weasel

edit

The little bird who appears in this short wasn't Henery, it was a black baby chick, and even has a stereotypical pickaninny accent. In fact, it looks like a recolor of a chick that appears in one of the Two Curious Pups shorts, also directed by Chuck Jones. --The_Iconoclast (talk) 00:56, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
