This will need to be amended, although as the court case is ongoing, it will change again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12039513 Snorgle (talk) 10:39, 1 April 2011 (UTC) Here's another link to April news of appeal http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/bomb-plotter-wins-parole-challenge-2259230.html Ern Malleyscrub (talk) 09:01, 24 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Alleged Mossad connection

edit

Even if it were a Mossad plot (something which is by no means clear), the Syrian government doesn't come out looking very good, since Syrian intelligence seems to have freely chosen to implicate itself in a rather stupidly bloodthirsty manner... AnonMoos (talk) 12:22, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removed last sentence of the following paragraph

In attempting to construct a credible defence for his client, Hindawi's legal counsel suggested an alternative interpretation of events during the trial, when he alleged that his client was not working for the Syrians after all, but was being manipulated by Israeli intelligence, which wished to damage and embarrass the Syrian government. The jury was unconvinced by this version of events,[2] and subsequent appeal judges have dismissed such interpretations as entirely lacking in evidence. There is a broad consensus in the intelligence community that such an interpretation is highly unlikely, at best.[citation needed]

Let's just stick to the facts until a good source can be found for this questionable statement.

Merge discussion

Is Nezar Hindawi known for anything other than the Hindawi affair? His article should be merged into this one. Set theorist (talk) 07:09, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I would agree with the merger.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:38, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's a little irregular with respect to Wikipedia procedures for a "mergeto" template to be at the top of an article like Nezar Hindawi continuously for three years. It would be best to start a new conversation. AnonMoos (talk) 06:37, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
