edit

Sanjeeveni in the hindi version of ramayana its refered as "Sanjeeveni booti" that would translate to Sanjeveeni herb. If some one has any source that it is Sanjeeveni Tea, please provide references and citations from Ramayana. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.3.219.213 (talk) 23:46, 26 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

This history in the current article glosses over how corporations like TATA are impacting the tea industry. There is also a lack of background into the colonial origins of tea and how the laborers were mistreated by the British. Additionally, because tea is a colonial concept, there wasn't an acknowledgement of this and the native diversity that has been lost from monocropping. A consideration of agroforestry and how/if tea practices can be integrated within this is important to add into this article as well. For my assignment I will be integrating this factors that are missing into a new version of this article.Shreya.C123 (talk) 14:41, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
