It was not long before the country’s military were proudly wearing the new green uniform of the Canadian Forces? What planet are you from? The "Jolly Green" CF uniform was a painful and visible symbol of that universally despised political abomination called unification, and as such, was disliked by an overwhelming number of armed service members. A return to distinctive service uniforms received a great welcome.

Well, this is what was written in my training manual. What ever personal opinions were about unification and the universal green uniform, CIC officers were the only ones that did not get issued the new uniform at the time. That, was the problem. Lucky them. It was not a happy night when I had to exchange my R.C.N. pattern Sea Cadet square-rig for that god-awful, puke-green new 'safari' uniform. I didn't know whether to cry or hunt wildebeest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.186.167 (talk) 03:27, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I re-arranged and slightly rewrote the post-merge uniform/upheaval text because I felt it was less formal than the rest of the article. Other than that I tried to touch as little as possible, especially terminology. Grahamwest (talk) 12:30, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
