Proposed merge and title

Hi everyone. I'd like to make a few proposals:

1) Proposal to merge: The issues described in the Household energy insecurity and Fuel poverty articles have a very high degree of overlap. I propose that these articles be merged. After merging, all incoming links to either article will point to the merged article. The merged article will have approximately the combined traffic of both articles. For reference, pageview statistics are here.

2) What direction to merge things in: I think the Household energy insecurity article is currently of higher quality and is more up to date, so I suggest that Fuel poverty be merged into Household energy insecurity rather than vice-versa.

3) What to call the merged article: Usually we make the title of an article the most common name of the subject in English (see Wikipedia:Article titles). In this case, fuel poverty seems to be much more commonly used, with 24,900 results in Google Scholar. "Household energy insecurity" yields 259 Google Scholar results. Therefore, if Fuel poverty is merged into Household energy insecurity I propose the merged article be subsequently retitled as Fuel poverty.

Thanks for your work and efforts. I nominated this for deletion during NPP but that after the discussion reversed and weighed in as "keep" on the basis that this topic should be covered somewhere. I think that the merge is a good idea. Regarding the title, I don't have a strong opinion either way but lean slightly towards "household energy insecurity". IMO it probably more accurately describes the more widespread situation. "Fuel poverty" sounds like something specifically related to fuel, while the reality is that it typically is poverty in general, with fuel being one of the many things that they have trouble affording. Thanks so much! I think it makes sense to merge the Household energy insecurity and Fuel poverty articles. I also lean slightly towards "household energy insecurity" regarding naming because it refers to more than just fuel - it relates to affording electricity which can be generated from non-fuel sources like wind, geothermal, solar, hydropower, etc and poverty in general like @North8000 mentions. Future changes

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

In the next couple weeks, I will be revising and editing this article for an energy and sustainability course project. I would appreciate any feedback on my proposed edits, which I will be working on in my user sandbox. So far, my planned changes to the article include:

• Updating and rephrasing/ refining personal behavior section
• Adding more information on health effects and providing more information and emphasis on the effects energy insecurity has on low income families
  • Most likely going to add as a subsection in contributing factors
• Adding a section on LIHEAP
• Adding a section on sociodemographics
• Possibly restructure the contributing factors section

Great ideas. Please try to maintain a global overview of the topic without undue emphasis on any one region such as the U.S. LIHEAP, being a single program in a single country, should probably be covered in one sentence rather than a section. Frontiers in Public Health

The article has several citations to an article in Frontiers in Public Health. In a previous discussion on the Reliable Sources Noticeboard, many concerns have been expressed about whether this journal is reliable.[1] Going forward, I think we should avoid using it as a source, especially for important or controversial claims.
