Talk:IIT Delhi

Can somebody list the contribution to S&T? Or producing great undergrads is the only achievement of IITD?

First Major Revision

edit

This page offered very little information about the institute (since it had just four lines). I hope that I have done justice to this article by adding some stuff. Please review it since I know very little about the institute (alumni can help a lot here). I have more to add but I have been continously typing for over three hours and need to take a break. Hope to add more stuff soon. Apoorv Khurasia 12.04.07 5:47 p.m. (IST)

Please write material in your own words and don't copy & paste material from the official site. I had to revert your edit as a copyright violation. Garion96 (talk) 15:03, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

A lot of material was written by me. The Program information, admission requirements, departments and center information was all written by me. Can you kindly let the information remain? I am rewriting the history section again. Apoorv Khurasia 18:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please put citations/references on this page. Any material not supported by sources does not meet Wikipedia Standards. See Wikipedia:Citing sources sach1tb 13:55, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have put some references. If someone feels any other fact needs a citation please edit this talk page and I will look up for a citation. Thanks for your efforts Apoorv Khurasia 16:12, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually there are several more places where citations should go. Perhaps you can check out IIT Kharagpur, a featured article, for reference. gnusbiz 02:53, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Formatting

edit

Can someone look into the formatting of this article. We also need some more information on SAC and Rendezvous. Apoorv Khurasia (talk) 09:51, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:INDIA Banner/Delhi Addition

edit

Note: {{WP India}} Project Banner with Delhi workgroup parameters was added to this article talk page because the article falls under Category:Delhi or its subcategories. Should you feel this addition is inappropriate , please undo my changes and update/remove the relavent categories to the article -- Amartyabag TALK2ME 13:25, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alumni

edit

I completely removed the alumni section since it has been waiting for sources for almost a year and no one bothered to add them. Feel free to reintroduce any of the notable ones with proper sourcing.

Concept of IITs

edit

The inception of the idea of IITs is different in this article and in History of Indian Institutes of Technology. Please change either.Iqbalbaig.iitm (talk) 12:53, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
