editThis entry should be renamed "IUPAC Color Books". Each Color Book is a book in its own right. Rhinde (talk) 10:36, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Can an experienced editor please indicate whether the use of boldface in the various sections follows Wikipedia's Manual of Style? For instance, in the Green Book section, the phrases "Quantities, Units and Symbols in Physical Chemistry" and "Green Book" are rendered in boldface, but are not synonyms for the title entry. A merger wiht the general IUPAC artical is not wise, because each of the listed books has a standing of its one in sience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.150.227.162 (talk) 09:37, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Color, not colour, books
editThis article uses the en-gb spelling of "colour". I understand MOS:ENGVAR, and am reluctant to change an article's established variety without good cause. In this case, I think it's necessary because the IUPAC website consistently uses the en-us spelling. A search of the website finds just 3 pages with "colour", none of which refer to the "color books". FWIW, Google searches of the web claim 40,300 hits for "IUPAC" "color book" -wiki
but just 163 for "IUPAC" "colour book" -wiki
. Despite their strong ties to English publishers and QMUL, they seem to have chosen this variety for themselves, as have others when discussing the "color books", so it seems we should follow. Thoughts? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 11:23, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
