Seethalai Sathanar
editAlthough Seethalai Sathanar's reference here is not much of a relevance, as far as I am aware he talks about Buddhism and not Jainism. Adikal does not imply Jain.
editAdikal does not imply that he was a Jain, Adikal here is a contraction of "Perumal Adikal" meaning that he was a member of the Royal Family. Na. Mu, venkatasami Nattar in his compilation of commentary for silappadhikaram has comprehensively argued in the preface that Ilangaadikal was a saivite monk with enough quotes. His work was published in 1942. Please ref [1]. There should be the spellings available in Tamil and Malayalam
editIlango Adigal is a Chera author. This especially implies that both successor languages need to be shown.
Modern Tamil ≠ Old Tamil and that shouldn't be cited as the reason for only using modern Tamil script. Arjunullas (talk) 09:00, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
