The map used in the article, File:July 2018 map of Indian Whatsapp lychings.jpg, doesn't seem to be that useful to me. It's too coarse to color a whole state just because one or more lynchings happened there, and doesn't convey any specific information to the reader. It would be better to have pins for specific incidents to give a better sense of geography. Opencooper (talk) 15:52, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I do not believe this should be included. The article relates to a specific period of time during which whatsapp related killings became a national trend leading to various responses and media coverage before ceasing in 2018. Other more recent incidents should be viewed in isolation. Adondai (talk) 23:44, 29 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

An incident mentioned in the article dated July 1, 2018 has 0 deaths and 4 injuries. Merriam Webster defines Lynching as "to put to death (as by hanging) by mob action without legal approval or permission"
Does this incident qualify to be listed here or does the article's name need to be changed to increase the scope? --Indianite (talk) 10:13, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
