Re-added this this content after a request had been made in the reverting edit summary to please discuss before re-instituting. That was not done, so here we are.
The content in question is the following:
==See also==
[[Massacre of Fort-Dauphin (Madagascar)|Massacre of Fort-Dauphin]], massacre of french colonists in Fort-Dauphin,Madagascar in the 17th century.
Frankly, I do not understand why this particular event has been added to the article. To me the two events have almost nothing in common - not geography or politics or tribal units or whatever - other than both took place in completely unrelated European colonies. One took place in Madagascar in 1674 (when it was a French colony) and one took place in North America in Virginia in 1622 (when it was an English colony) but let's discuss and come to a editorial consensus. Gasybeaugosse2020 But the incidents themselves are completely unconnected. Are there other massacres of colonists that happened in Madagascar? Were there uprisings by the native peoples of Madagascar against the French? Were there other massacres/incidents/battles/etc against the French by peoples related to Malagasy natives? I think articles on those subjects would be a better match for a 'See also'. I see your point but I still disagree. Shearonink (talk) 21:43, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
