1939 Situation

Holger Brandt's comment about "the time when Vienna was a happy city" also features in the 1936 Swedish film. At least in the original script, it can not have been a reference to the the 1938 de facto annexation of Austria by Nazi Germany, the "Anschluss". Toscha Seidel playing the violin?

Seidel is not mentioned in this article and neither on IMDB. But "Intermezzo: A Love Story 1939 Toscha Seidel Violin" on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Rm56JirdQ says Seidel played the violin, even though it looks like Leslie Howard was playing (actually more than amazing pretend violin playing). The credits at the end are short and don't list the performer.
