"Regular surface" redirect
edit"Regular surface" redirects here. In the differential geometry class I'm currently taking, "regular surface" is used to mean a smooth manifold of dimension 2 in . I'm not sure how this concept is related to the topic of this article. Could someone explain the relationship between these two subjects? Otherwise, I think the redirect page should be deleted. - I agree: in algebraic geometry regular is frequently used as the opposite of "singular", and thus as a synonym of "non-singular" or "smooth". D.Lazard (talk) 14:59, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
