Conflict of interest
editThe creator of this article User:Robheydon may work for Ecstasy film, given that he is the creator of the article Rob Heydon about the director of the company's flagship film, Ecstasy. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:46, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- The article has been renamed and the article is changed to the actual film, as the film did not have an article before. - Marty2Hotty (talk) 02:06, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- It seems the article has recently been edited by individuals who have vested interest in the film, removing the negative reviews and inflating the box office numbers (when there is an actual source that gives it much less). The IP 70.24.25.103 is from Stoney Creek, the hometown of director Rob Heydon Marty2Hotty (talk) 00:28, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
Giving a more balanced view of good reviews and bad reviews as per terms and conditions... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.24.25.103 (talk) May 2, 2012 — 70.24.25.103 (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. JoeSperrazza (talk) 01:51, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- The negative reviews currently exceed the positive reviews. That is the general consensus at this time. Rotten Tomatoes is used on most movies for Wikipedia and include critics that meet a certain criteria. In addition, "weighted averages" are used on IMDb - https://resume.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?votes - and not the median, and this is based on sufficient filters that IMDb uses to prevent "vote stuffing". That is why the 5.0 is reflected in the movie's page, and not the "median" rating, which probably indicates an inflated number due to vote stuffing. - Marty2Hotty (talk) 00:09, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Name: "Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy"?
editAccording to IMDB, the film's name is "Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy": [1]. I'm undecided on renaming the article, because I don't know how stable this is. If anyone else has a better sense, feel free to move it. For now, I'll use the name and use piped links.
All of this is without comment on the merits of retaining the article, a subject on which I have no opinion. TJRC (talk) 18:44, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- The film name has been changed to "Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy", the actual name of the film as cited on the film's official website and on IMDb. The article has been drastically cleaned up as well to reflect how it should be for a film. - Marty2Hotty (talk) 02:07, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Unreleased sound track song by Smiith
editOne of the first trailers to the movie included a song by Smiith named "Ecstasy". It was promised to be released in a conjunction with the movie but it's never been actually released. The trailer where this song plays is not officially available any more but you can find it via Google on third party video hosting web sites. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.166.171.100 (talk) 22:42, 3 April 2013 (UTC) - I remember this and have the unlisted link to this teaser trailer 2, but I'm not sure it is relevant information to put on the article.
