Attractions

edit

The attractions part of the page sounds a bit like a review of the National Park mentioned. Maybe we could change the wording a bit? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.4.24.43 (talk) 18:28, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

National Park?

edit

The West Bengal Website here (hover over Protected Areas and the National Parks) does not list this area as a National Park. The official Website here lists it as Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, and does nto say anything about it being a "National Park". Can someone explain why references to this page are gradually being changed to "National park" using pipes? The only thing I can find on IUCN that seems apropos (http://cmsdata.iucn.org/downloads/parks_feb98.pdf) does calls it Jaldapara Wildlife Reserve. The cited article (http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-05-11/kolkata/31668300_1_jaldapara-wildlife-sanctuary-sq-km-national-park) says "We haven't received the notification yet. But we have come to learn about the development", which means it isn't yet, so this activity seems a bit premature. When the time comes, the proper way to do this is to move the article and then clean up the links pointing to it. Don Lammers (talk) 14:33, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, it's a national Park now, and that information is cited. I have moved the article to "Jaldapara National Park" and am in the process of re-pointing links, including in templates. I am re-assessing as start-class. Don Lammers (talk) 22:05, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Area 216.51" -- what units?

edit

The summary/overview sections says "Area 216.51" without specifying what units are used. They should be specified.69.144.4.20 (talk) 21:59, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

edit

The Flora and fauna section has a link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crested_Eagle which is an incorrect link because the species described in that article lives only in South America. The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crested_eagle_%28disambiguation%29 Crested_eagle disambiguation page lists 4 species; I don't know which is relevantJwpat7 (talk) 22:12, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
