8/16/10: article about the McCourt divorce in Bloomberg Business Week (August 16, 2010, "Extreme Moneyball, by Richard Siklos, pg 54) but not really any new info to add to the Wikipedia article.

Hi. understand we have been going back and forth editing this page for some time now. We are trying to update the page with the proper title of Co-Owner that she is entitled to use but it keeps getting reverted even though many footnotes have been provided. I need to know what acceptable documentation or references have to provided in order to keep the proper title in place. There are documents not be available on the internet that can be submitted. Thank you Pete731 (talk) 18:37, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I attempted to discuss this on the article talk page but you never engaged. She was never listed as co-owner by the team or MLB.. which is the requirement for such a title and is not listed as such in any official sources. The divorce court judge rules it as community property but the case was settled before that was properly judicated. In any event, the title of co-owner is inaccurate as she never operated as owner of the team or was recognized as such. Plus, I strongly suspect that you have a conflict of interest here as this is the only article you have ever edited. Spanneraol (talk) 00:20, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
It may help Pete731 to understand if he remembers for example that the "owner" of the Angels is Arte Moreno—not Moreno and his wife. —teb728tc11:18, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I understand your position. I have attached a footnote on the page showing the official press release when the team was purchased and confirmed to Frank and Jamie McCourt as the fourth owners (plural) of the Los Angeles Dodgers[1]. You will see how this differs from teb728's explanation of Arte Moreno being the owner of the Angels. Only he was listed in the press release from the Angels when he purchased the team. The headline is "Major League Baseball approves the sale of the Dodgers to Frank McCourt".. not to Jamie.. and it talks about his plans for the team, not them as a team having plans for the team. Why is this so important to you? Are you ready to disclose your conflict of interest yet? Spanneraol (talk) 19:26, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
