Vandalism
editI don't know what is going on but this article shows up as Mario Balotelli not Jamie Redknapp for me... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.252.96.5 (talk) 22:40, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

editThere is a lot of vandalism on this page. It should be protected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Silent Nemesis2710 (talk • contribs) 21:30, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
The introduction claims he won 'seven honours' at Liverpool? What honours? Clarify. Later in the article, he is only listed as having won four trophies.Biographies of the player on line indicate he won one honour, the League Cup in 1995. He did not play in the 1992 FA Cup, nor did he play in the Charity Shield 2001, nor did he play in the 2001 Super cup. Clarify please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.126.91.159 (talk) 11:10, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
The introduction to this article mentions Redknapp 'won SEVEN honours with Liverpool', yet gives no details of what these are. The 'Liverpool' section says he was not a first teamer till 93-94, and concedes he didn't feature in the 1992 FA Cup win. This is backed by http://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/Game/1854 which is clear that Redknapp did not play. Despite this, Redknapp is credited in the 'Honours' section with a 1992 FA Cup winners medal. Later, the 'Liverpool' section concedes that 'his sole winners medal was from the 1995 League Cup Final' - how does that statement compare to the 'won seven honours' statement in the introduction? Finally, the 'Honours' section has him winning FOUR honours. So, what is it? Seven honours? Four honours (of which, three were as substitute)? Or is it one honour? The FA Cup medal in 1992 needs to be removed from the honours section. The 'seven' honours mentioned in the introduction needs to be removed or clarified as it contradicts the whole article. I'd appreciate a response on this comment as I've mentioned it to you before, yet seen no action. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.158.111.105 (talk) 16:50, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
False quotes
editMany of the quotes in this article can be assumed to be false. For example the one about his weasel getting heat stroke is a direct quote from Scrubs and in particular Bob Kelso —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.51.154 (talk) 14:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Bias promotion of Redknapp in this article
editI'm irratated by the obvious self-promotion in this article. Edited by a female fan perhaps?
So, I have cleaned up some of the acutely pro and bias in favour of J. Redknapp in this article mostly under the "England" tab which was full of opinion rather than fact. I tried to make it more neutral taking it away from the previous description of a golden boy.
This article is still extremely bias in favour of Redknapp - maybe he wrote it himself? Needs a bigger clean up with references to the facts of his career. And the football stat (appearance/goals/honours) box needs adding. I don't know how to add it. (82.43.189.130 23:13, 21 November 2006 (UTC))
- I've added a {{neutrality}} tag to highlight your concerns. The article needs referencing and some sections need to be reworked for more neutral wording (e.g., the "That goal" section). --Muchness 23:48, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm glad you agree that it is not neutral. Thanks. (82.43.189.130 14:28, 22 November 2006 (UTC))
- I've updated the international career section to make it appear more balanced. (84.65.86.120 19:30, 8 June 2007 (UTC))
Also, the teams stats are different to the team information. In the bio it says 308 apps and 34 goals for Liverpool, but the amount is lower in the stats box.
This may be because the box only counts league appearances and goals, whereas the free text can include (knockout) cup competitions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.126.118 (talk) 09:41, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Non-encyclopaedic guffy speculation and opinion
edit'It is widely accepted that his good looks, celebrity spouse and modelling commitments often overshadowed his football talent'. Wikipedia is meant to be an encyclopaedia, not a forum for wannabe sports journalists spouting hackneyed opinion. I reckon this needs taking out/significantly re-doing.

James or Jamie?
editCan it be reliably sourced that Jamie was christened as "Jamie", rather than the more traditional "James". Obviously people can have shortened forms of traditional names as their proper name, but it would be useful to know what the situation with Redknapp is. – PeeJay 22:13, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- As someone who struggles constantly with people valiantly mis-correcting his first name, I don't believe that there's any reason not to believe he was christened Jamie unless there's actual evidence to the contrary. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 22:24, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
The Sun
editJamie Redknapp is not covering the World Cup for the Sun. Talksport made a mistake, Harry Redknapp is covering the World Cup for the Sun. If it was true, the article would probably have to be protected. As it is expect some vandalism as people pick up the mistaken news. Jonknight73 (talk) 17:10, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Marriage
editThis page claims he married Louise Nurding in 2004 and yet her page claims they married in 1998.78.111.198.47 (talk) 21:41, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Liverpool career
editThe Liverpool section states he only became a first team regular in the 1993-1994 season. Was he not a regular in 1992-1993? The stats appear to say he was... Firestar47 (talk) 18:41, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
