Correct birthday

edit

It looks as though the 8th May birthday that is attributed to her all over the place is actually wrong. Here are some sources (reliable or otherwise) which support her being born on 5 August 1961 (so 5/8/61 in the UK appears as 8 May '61 in other territories which would explain the confusion):

It is confusing but the birthday section of the Times Court and Social page for the 8 May 2012 has Janet McTeer actress, 51. MilborneOne (talk) 16:36, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Just looked at the primary source which shows a Janet McTeer being born in the third quarter (July/August/September) of 1961 in Tynemouth registration district. If it is the same Janet McTeer it would indicate that you are right and August is correct. MilborneOne (talk) 17:00, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Television vs Film

edit

Why not add her television roles to the filmography list. Atleast outside the UK (but within Western Europe) she became well-known for The Governor. She has made several importaint roles in The Honourable Woman and The White Queen. Not main roles, but I think she does different charrachters well. Most articles about actors/actresses uses one single "Film & TV list". Especially regarding actors/actresses who have been known within both. And we must not forget theater stage either, although I myself isn't familiar with Janet Mc Teer on stage. But I believe perhaps TV and film has more in common compared to theatre.
