Mid-America Japanese Club

http://web.archive.org/web/20050308044015/http://www.japaneseclub.org/ The Mid-America Japanese Club was based in Mount Prospect, Illinois but now it is based in Arlington Heights. The name in English later changed to the Chicago Japanese Club.

– We're using different titles for articles with similar scopes. Striving for consistency here. I think the "Japanese-American culture in X" format is most universal and allows articles to cover more than just history. • Oppose. Using "culture" in the title limits the scope of these articles far too much. Much or most of the content in most of the articles is history. If an expansion of the footprint is desired, moving e.g. History of the Japanese in Seattle to Japanese in Seattle might be in order. —  AjaxSmack  05:59, 11 February 2023 (UTC)

• Oppose. The content of articles such as History of the Japanese in Seattle is clearly history focused. There may be justification to create a separate article that is dedicated to culture, but I feel that the history content should remain in its own article.—Myasuda (talk) 16:21, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

The articles each have different scope and coverage, so I won't make any recommendations about a uniform naming convention for all of them. But for some articles such as the Seattle one, I don't think removing history from the article title is the best option.—Myasuda (talk) 02:55, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
