X stands for "ex" or 10

Non native English people can ask if Jason X stands fpor Jason Ex or Jason 10. It would be good if it be saind in the text.

Comics?

A comic furthers this ending into a new tale starting with the ending of the movie where the teen couple goes to investigate.
There is now a comic continuing the fall of Jason onto earth only to be investigated by two teens.

I removed the two bits above because they were kind of clumisly tacked onto the story and trivia sections. I would like to polish them up and better integrate them into the article, but I know nothing about them. The film series site mentions them, but there is no detail, and doesn't make specific mention of continuing directly where the film ends as the contributor puts focus on; they just seem to be a simple continuation as per the new novels. It maybe worth mentioning, but at the least, it needs to be better done, and by someone who's read them. --Bacteria 18:50, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

• I added some detail on the novels and comics as part of an Other Media section. It briefly explains the publishing history and that they are both separate continuations of the continuity setup by the film. Detailed plots are not really need for them though. That could be given if they had their own entries. For now though, all that's really needed is recognition of their existance. JohnBWatt

Paradox?

When the team of students (and the teacher guy) are examining the abandoned cryo facility, the cyborg chick states that the freezing chamber was manufactured in, quote, "2010". How, then, is it that in the 2455 (as stated in the film), that she has been frozen for 455 years? Actually, that would be a continuity error, not a paradox. A paradox would have been if Jason had gone back in time and killed the inventor of the cryogenic chamber, thus preventing himself being frozen. Always sign with 4 tildes (~). As for your "paradox," the chamber could have been manufactured in 2010, and the one Jason was frozen in could have been built earlier. It just means they started to manufacture them in 2010, when the research facility that kept Jason could have had a prototype. It doesn't matter, seeing as the entire movie has continuity errors in almost every facet, especially timeline. Bignole 16:45, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Jason X is a Comedy!

I'm surprised the article doesn't mention that the film is a full-on comedy and parody of the earlier "Jason" films and the slasher film genre in general.

Especially funny scenes were:

• Jason claims his first "victim" while still frozen solid! The guy gets his arm chopped off, and then whines about it while carrying his severed arm, which gets re-attached, no problem.

• The doctor asking Jason: "Oh, would you like your machete back?"

• It is only the prospect of love/sexual favors that inspires the android girl to screw up her gumption to kick Jason's butt.

• Jason gets beat to pieces by a hot girl! Even if it is an android girl.

• Jason massively ups his per-movie body count by simultaneously killing thousands of people during the spaceship collision.

• And, for the slasher-flick traditionalists, the movie ends with Jason re-entering atmosphere close to his next presumed victims--a young couple making out in a convertible!

2001

Going to need a source for this film being released in 2001. The American Film Institute only notes of the New York and LA premiers here in 2002. So where does this German opening in 2001 come from? Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:55, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Mind you, it says nothing about a premiere, and I've found other sections of the site stating when other films had been screened there, but no mention of Jason X, so i'm a little hesitant. There is a user who is continuing to remove the earlier 2001 release without reasoning in the infobox and article. Lets keep an eye out so we can make sure it maintains its 2001 release date as BigNole has generously dug up that information. Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:38, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
