Sources
editI am currently searching for verifiable sources for citation. I am going to try to contact the artist's manager in order to see if they can provide me with some info on press that the artist has received. Thank you for your consideration. Planetjes
- I just added 2 citations, and I will continue to search and add them as I find them. Thanks, Planetjes

Ghost
editAs far as I know, "Ghost" was not nominated for a Grammy award. Perhaps it was SUBMITTED for a nomination? Or did I miss a year?!Denn333 03:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Jes (artist)
editA discussion started here [1] today. I ask interested editors: Should this article per WP:COMMONNAME be moved to Jes (artist)? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:12, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Moved to JES_(musician) Manc1234 (talk) 16:35, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Birthplace
editI was asked to leave a message here, informing you that i corrected the birth place of Jes. When she was born, her mother, father and myself were living in Muncie at the time. we moved to New York City when she was 2 years old. just wanted to correct that, thanks.

- Thanks for your posting, but unfortunately, we have no way of knowing who you are, and anyone can claim to be a relative. Wikipedia requires information to be Verifiable in a Reliable source. If this is true, presumably Jes, her manager, or her publicist must know of a reliable source to confirm this information? Arjayay (talk) 17:40, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
I've kept asking the people who run her webcite to correct the info, but they won't listen. by the way, though it seems a little bit wierd in a bad way that they don't let us use our status as a relative as a source, i understnad, as people can play the system. i may contact someone here when i get back to Muncie in a month, but i don't know much about wikipedia, so i'm just going to leave it for now. Stylism?
editIs the singer now called Jay-Ee-Ess? This looks more like capitals for effect. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:11, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- According to a message on User_talk:Lazz_R#Capital_letters_JES it is a style used by the musicians management and they encourage others to follow it. I don't think this is sufficient reason to move the page, but the style may be noted in the article if it can be sourced. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 14:47, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- Hi there! JES is the actual artist name, just like SZA and MGMT. Why did you revert my change? Robcuiper (talk) 14:46, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Robcuiper: Because of reliable sources. Is the singer now called Jay-Ee-Ess? In ictu oculi (talk) 15:48, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- I recieved a message on my Facebook page from somebody of JES' management today regarding the article title.
“ | While I understand that you're trying to make the page more accurate you're actually damaging years of branding work we've been doing to keep her name as JES, and not Jes or Jes Brieden. Right now her wiki page informs the google knowledge graph which intern informs the youtube topic result graph and changing the name on her wiki page will also change information in those panels. We really need to keep her name as JES and the title of the wiki page as JES. Once that is changed to mixed case (Jes) she becomes confused in the knowledge graph results with lots of other singers / musicians called Jes (particularly Jessica Wahls) and then her search results via google platforms start to become less reliable. It affects every area of her online reputation and we spend hours every week trying to keep this up to date. I know it might seem like a small thing but we use JES for a reason and we need to keep it that way. If you could revert any edits that you've made (on her page or any others - I saw from your wiki edit history that you have made a few edits) we would be eternally grateful. quote taken from the message | ” |
- I informed him about the MoS and WP:MOSCAPS, and how branding and online presence don't override the rules (MOS:TMCAPS). I said how the name is a stylisation and not an acronym, which is why LMFAO is capitalised and Rezz and Eden (musician) are not. However, since the page had already been reverted to JES I stated that I wouldn't go out of my way to change it back to sentence case, to reach a compromise. However, after trying to revert Disconnect (Jes album) and Imagination (Jes song) through requested technical moves, the main article had been moved back to Jes (musician). Taxigirl source
editHello friends. Is there a source for the Taxigirl alias? I was looking and outside of Discogs and websites similar to it, I can't find one. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Maybe there is a source that isn't accessible with my screen-reader, though most websites seam fine with JAWS. Thanks Also yes, to @Mzajac: I am banned user Comet Egypt. Also pinging @Nil Einne: for transparency. 205.200.241.104 (talk) 06:34, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
- I don’t recall anything about that, but I see that User:Comet Egypt and User:Aden Singh 45 were banned indefinitely following an investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Comet Egypt/Archive with involvement of @Acroterion, @RunnyAmiga, @EvergreenFir, @Vanjagenije, and @Iridescent. —Michael Z. 16:35, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
ok thanks I explained the history as best I could on my talk. Anyway, I'm trying to find a source for the Taxygirl alias. 205.200.241.104 (talk) 16:43, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
