Alex Scott scored the goal against Germany

edit

Hi, Alex Scott scored the goal against Germany in October 2006. In fact Jill was not on the field of play when the goal went in, as she was second-half sub. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.74.235.115 (talk) 08:13, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Scott's sexuality

edit

Hi, I'm new to this but is the sentence 'Scott is a Lesbian' encyclopaedic? For example Bobby Charlton's entry does not say 'Charlton is heterosexual.' GBR1961 (talk) 14:47, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely correct. I remove it wherever it's unnecessary.

My view is exactly in line with yours. Juddlackland (talk) 21:14, 8 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Many editors have a different view, and just from a V point of view, if there's going to be categories mentioning her sexuality, it should be sourced in the article text. On notability grounds, if Charlton or anyone else heterosexual discussed it enough in sources, the fact it did not just go unsaid would make it notable - like with the identities of queer people. There's a difference between normalising queer identities and erasing them. Be careful which you're doing in your mass removals. Kingsif (talk) 06:42, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Photo

edit

Is there a better quality photo then a partly closed eyes shot of them in that video it pulled from or another source? 68.48.113.58 (talk) 18:34, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think her eyes just look that way, actually. The old image - of Scott playing football - also has her eyes like that. Kingsif (talk) 06:39, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
