editWhy can't the picture of Joyner in character as Tanya Branning be used here? raining girl (talk) 23:51, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid wikipedia does not allow us to use fair use images (like screenshots, promo photos) to illustrate actors. The pics have to be real photos that someone has released into public domain, for instance if you or I took a pic of Jo while she was at an awards ceremony or something.Gungadin 00:08, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

- Sorry, no, it isn't Jo.RipleyJ (talk) 11:51, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Hello. Jo Joyner grew up near Banbury in Oxfordshire. She stated this when she was interviewed on Something for the Weekend (2000s BBC TV series) last month. Also, she went to the same school as me. RipleyJ keeps removing the fact that she grew up near Banbury whenever I add it. I've posted a comment on his/her Talk Page but have not received a response, so I'll try leaving one here, too.
As stated on this page of Banbury Town Council's website (Banbury Town Council), Jo Joyner is "local to the town" and Jo says that it was so nice to switch the Christmas Lights on in a town familiar to her.
So I'm going to include the fact about Banbury - again. Please do not delete it without discussion and proof. IndieSinger (talk) 17:37, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Indie Singer - please let me explain why I removed your reference. I'm not disputing your facts, it's just that unfortunately not everyone's as well intentioned as you and so it's wise not to make locations too easily available. Also, because Wiki is a reference site rather than a gossip/fan site only basic professional details are relevant. I've seen whole chunks of Wiki cut and pasted into articles without any factual checking. I've also removed other stuff, which was probably not by you, but illustrates what I mean. Someone put - 'pictured leaving a restaurant drunk' which referred to a photo of Jo and Patsy Palmer and which was then quoted elsewhere.. The fact is that they came out of the door perfectly normally, and a pap hit Patsy on the head with his camera and snapped the resulting shock and stagger. As for proof - may I suggest that you print this page and post it directly to Jo via Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, Herts or her Agent, Katie Threfall Associates, for her comments? Thanks for reading! 86.161.180.192 (talk) 11:42, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for explaining, RipleyJ(?). Rest assured, I only added that one fact about Jo. I didn't write anything else (and certainly nothing libellous/gossipy!) IndieSinger (talk) 15:47, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Where a person grew up is relevant biographical info; not gossip or trivia. This article is a biography - a description of the subject and her life, not merely an account of her career. Jim Michael (talk) 15:01, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
Jo Joyner must have been born in 1977
editThis page states she was 32 years old as of September 2009, and this one says she was 32 as of January 2010. Both put her age as of today at either 32 or 33, depending on if her birthday has happened this year so far or not, but the first one puts her year of birth as 1976 or 1977, and the second puts her year of birth at 1977 or 1978. As 1977 is the only year common to both, she must have been born then. Am I right? That said, Digital Spy says her date of birth is 23 February 1978, meaning she would have been 31 when both of those stories were printed. I wouldn't have expected DS to be wrong but they must be. anemoneprojectors talk 01:36, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
