I don't claim to know anything about the subject, however categories should reflect the content of the article, which doesn't say he was a viceroy, so I have removed the category. It was added here. TSventon (talk) 21:05, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
On further looking into this, I see you're right that the two references to that sentence don't support the claim. (They've been in the article since the first edit. Both refs should be removed.) And you seem to be right that Treccani only mentions his being made Marquess of Militello. Nobili-napoletane.it has him as 2nd Prince of Pietraperzia, and his father as Prince of Butera and of Pietraperzia. Is this a reliable source or self-generated? Geni.com says he was 4th Prince of Butera and of Pietraperzia, but that's unusable. Treccani seems to be the best source of these. Until there are better sources for the princely title, I've changed my !vote to one for Joanna of Austria, Marchioness of Militello. Thank you for prompting me to look further into this.
