Abuse allegations
editWhy was the paragraph on the abuse allegations removed? It has been reported by US Magazine and should be added back. local friendtalk 19:38, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Agree. It has become widely reported in a lot of publications and websites and all over social media 11:51, 10 July 2023 (UTC) Chwyatt (talk) 11:51, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
- I've restored it. Content is well-sourced and notable. Page should be protected if reversions persist. Bangabandhu (talk) 12:01, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
- Why does it say he "politely" set the boundaries? That feels subjective. Instead, it should just state the facts and allow people to decide on their own if the way in which he set boundaries was "polite". DisgruntledRayofSunshine (talk) 14:01, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. Someone has also deleted the entire paragraph in the meantime but I have just restored the previous version. ~ local friendtalk 14:39, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Brady is not a professional surf instructor. She is a lawyer who surfs as a hobby, by her own admission in texts between Brady and Hill in which she complains that the media refers to her as a surfer when she is actually "a lawyer to be". RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 09:37, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- Both citations reference her as a professional surfer and surf instructor. local friendtalk 11:33, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- By her own admission in those DMs, that's not correct. RockabillyRaccoon (talk) 14:04, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- She's both - I just included the verbiage to the article plus a source for both. LADY LOTUS • TALK 14:25, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

- So if I study to become a doctor, I am a doctor? What kind of reasoning is that? She is not a lawyer, she is a student, show me when she passed the bar? Why are there so many crazies on this page? Wikipedia is about objectivity and showing both sides in such sensitive topics. Johannesvdp (talk) 12:35, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
Hills exact text is "If these things bring you to a place of happiness I will support it and there will be no hard feelings", and goes on to say he will not be her partner if she chooses those things. In view of that, the text "Hill *forbade* her from surfing with other men, posting pictures of herself in a swimsuit, and spending time with friends he did not approve of". Would it not be more accurate to say "Hill said he could not continue the relationship if she continued surfing with other men, posting pictures of herself in a swimsuit, and spending time with friends he did not approve of" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:9E8:1815:1F00:588B:433E:1AF9:A82B (talk) 16:39, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed and done LADY LOTUS • TALK 20:31, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- Isn't that what "forbid" means? local friendtalk 11:06, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- I don't see it as being the same as it's giving her an option and boundaries, he's saying if she wants to then she can but not while being his partner. More of an ultimatum than forbidding. LADY LOTUS • TALK 13:55, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
