Coverage in Germany

edit

Richter prüfen Mordprozess gegen 13-Jährigen looks like coverage of the subject even in Germany.--Stone (talk) 10:58, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Jordan Brown (accused murderer)Trial of Jordan Anthony Brown — per deletion discussion and WP:BIO1E.--137.122.49.102 (talk) 21:31, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. As I mentioned previously in the Afd discussion, I favor a move/rename to Jordan Anthony Brown. It is the subject and his age that have warranted the coverage of what was otherwise a non-noteworthy murder. The trial hasn't even happened, so it does not make sense to note it as suggested above. Location (talk) 21:58, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • The sources do not seem to use his middle name. Also, this article seems to be about the murder itself as opposed to simply about the trial, so I would suggest moving this page instead to Jordan Brown murder case, or something along those lines. The Celestial City (talk) 23:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, pef AfD, move to Trial of Jordan Brown. The middle name is a superfluous disambiguator, per wp:precise, to distinguish with the two other people with the same wp:commonname on wikipedia. Parenthesis to be avoided per wp:precise, use natural disambiguators, in this case "trial of". This kind of article has often the form "Murder/trial/arrest/etcetera of X", to focus scope on notable event per wp:bio1e, the event in this particular case being the trial of a very young minor (and not the alleged crime). "Accused murderer" to be avoided per wp:weasel. "Jordan Brown murder case" is completely ambiguous, impossible to parse whether he is victim or perpetrator. walk victor falk talk 19:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Agree with "Jordan Brown murder case" or something like that. The subject of the article is apparently not the person, or even some "trial", but the whole "case" and its legal ramifications. --Kotniski (talk) 12:27, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps Jordan Brown murder accusation case to avoid confusion? walk victor falk talk 18:35, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
That sounds bad. How about just "Jordan Brown case"? Adding "murder" or other words isn't necessary for people who already know about the case, and won't be of much help to the rest of the readership anyway.--Kotniski (talk) 10:01, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
You're right. walk victor falk talk 10:22, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm OK with that, too. Location (talk) 15:10, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm also OK with Jordan Brown case.--137.122.49.102 (talk) 15:16, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Exact birth date

edit

Since this is an extreme case with regard to the age, I propose his exact birth date to be mentioned, or at least explicitly say that he actually had turned 11 that month, or if that is the case, that he had not even turned 11. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.227.112.139 (talk) 19:42, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
