edit@Pbritti: you seem to categorically object to photograph changes by editors in this topic area. You've said in the past they were "highly photoshopped", and I'm not sure I understand that objection; it appears that, in this culture, it is customary to depict saints and leaders in highly stylized formats, a sort of iconography. The current dispute over the photo does not seem to turn on photo editing, however. What is your objection to this photo? Elizium23 (talk) 02:24, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- The image is a photoshopped copyrighted image of a living person (so, unethical by BLP standards). Also, importantly, the image originates from a paid contributor who has already gotten blocked on one account. You can see more here. While perhaps "customary" in this culture, it is beyond inappropriate to include significantly manipulated images that were created for the purposes of promotion, particularly when the photoshopping is presented without any mention of manipulation. ~ Pbritti (talk) 02:30, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- It should be noted that image was among those deleted in July when Esthappanos Bar Geevarghese's Commons contributions were nuked en masse. ~ Pbritti (talk) 02:31, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Elizium23: A week ago you requested additional detail regarding these images. A sockpuppet investigation confirmed the IP editors are working to add a paid contributor's images. A file deletion request have been opened on the Commons if you want to give your input. ~ Pbritti (talk) 18:58, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
