I'll help if I can; "new page patrol" is a fast process on Wikipedia and newcomers are frequently dismayed by it, but there are many people here who will help you if you request it. The primary reason is that the article doesn't have any reliable sources that would allow anyone to verify the assertions made in the article. "Reliable sources" are roughly defined as "opinions by experts in things like books, magazines and newspapers" -- not usually blogs or forums, etc. (I appreciate that the blog you cite may have been written by a food critic, and that would probably count as expert opinion, but the link is broken and I can't trace the citation.) As well, there's a bit of confusion between Mr. Scarpone and his associated restaurants. There are things in the article that seem to be asserting that the restaurants are notable, but they don't necessarily apply to Mr. Scarpone himself; it would be helpful to have reliable sources that talk about him specifically. Last, there are things in the article that seem to be more on the side of advertising than is usually considered appropriate (we have no proof about, say, Mr. Scarpone's passions). What would be very useful is links to, say, reviews of Mr. Scarpone's work at various restaurants, any awards that he has personally won, and things like that; things where arm's-length experts have asserted that he is notable. If there's something further I can help you with, feel free to leave me a note (you can do that by clicking on the word "talk" after my signature). Upon further examination, I think I've found the link you wanted, so I'll see if I can add it for you. I don't know why it didn't work for you; to my eye it looks the same, but I couldn't access this page. I think it will work now. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:35, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I will do a little more work on this to see if I can find the kind of sources I'm suggesting; I've also removed my own speedy deletion tag, which may relieve your mind. Let me know if you have any questions or problems. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:44, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've added six citations and edited the article to remove things that can't be substantiated; if you have any questions or problems, I'm at your service. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:28, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removing "narrative"

edit

I've again removed a paragraph of material that infringes Wikipedia policy in a number of different wants. First, there are no reliable sources that testify to the truth of the assertions, nor could there be since this is describing a future event. Second, our Wikipedia is not a crystal ball policy suggests that you can't assert future events as if they were going to happen. Third, it was just advertising for a new restaurant. If you can provide arm's-length, third-party expert sources that testify to things about the restaurant after it's opened, such as reviews from restaurant critics, feel free to restore material about the as-yet-unopened restaurant. Orphan article message

edit

Please help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.
