March 2018 expansion
editThank you Slovebz for expanding this article. However much of what you have added is uncited. In accordance with WP:BLP you should cite any sentence added to an article about a living person. And please leave edit summaries - see Wikipedia:Edit summary legend for some ideas. Edwardx (talk) 00:27, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Removing family names/details
editWP:BLPNAME deals with this issue. It states, in part, "The names of any immediate, former, or significant family members or any significant relationship of the subject of a BLP may be part of an article, if reliably sourced." It always raises a flag for me when referenced material is removed from an article. Ifnord (talk) 14:56, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
Chinese-Canadian
editI really do think referring to someone as Hong Kong-Taiwanese-Canadian who made most of his money in China (alibaba), is verbose and not a productive way of speaking. He does in fact speak Chinese and has roots all throughout the Chinese speaking world. Please conduct discussion here if you disagree that "hong kong taiwanese canadian" makes more sense than "chinese canadian" Sucker for All (talk) 06:59, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- Disagree. Keep longstanding "Hong Kong-Taiwanese-Canadian" or something similar. Do NOT replace with Chinese because you just felt like it. This would be extremely offensive to many born in Taiwan or with Taiwanese citizenship. Who are you to label in such a way? Chinese (which is a collection of languages and dialects) is spoken natively in many countries outside of China. We shouldn't look for shortcuts when they cause an article to lose meaning. - he is referred to as Taiwanese-Canadian in the chinese page. he grew up in taiwan and only moved to hong kong in mid 90s. 123.202.47.31 (talk) 04:15, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
