Alligator/crocodile

edit

I know it says it was an alligator in the sources, but it can't have been. Alligators are only found in East Asia in China, and this encounter was in Sumatra - therefore it must have been a crocodile. 213.122.250.108 (talk) 18:46, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's been a year, but I've finally got my hands on that book. Just started reading it today, once I've finished I'll update the article as it already has shown a lot of details of Judy's origins and her life aboard the Gnat which isn't in the article. Aiming to take this article to GA at some point in the new year... and if the level of detail is enough, look longingly at a FA application. Miyagawa (talk) 16:33, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Just to confirm - the book source confirms that it's an crocodile and not an alligator as the newspaper report suggested. I must get around to incorporating that source properly into the article! Miyagawa (talk) 09:43, 11 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Van Warwyck

edit

At the moment the ex-Dutch transport vessel which was sunk is listed as the Van Warwyck, since that is what it is referred to in the sources used. However, as stated on the List of Japanese hell ships, it has an alternative Japanese name and we know which submarine sank it. In order for those details to be added, adequate sources need to be added, which aren't present in the list article. But I'm sure they're out there. Wondering if I'll finally get around to working the new sources into the article and seeing if we can take this through FA at some point. Miyagawa (talk) 12:38, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Finally

edit

I've got a really nasty habit of saying I'll update something shortly, and then a couple of years passes before I actually do it. So I've got a copy of No Better Friend sitting next to me right now, and my intention is to read through it with the article open over the next few days, adding as I go along. Hopefully with far fewer run on sentences than that. Miyagawa (talk) 20:05, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
