QPQ: Done.

Overall:   @BeanieFan11: Good article. Onegreatjoke (talk) 15:24, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

@BeanieFan11 and Onegreatjoke: Correct me if I am wrong but ever seems like an unnecessary word in the hook and article. I will remove it prior to promotion and if you disagree ping me or post on talk.
Whoops! Too late. I saw the green and the check for QPQ but it is not done. I can check back to see that it is completed. Bruxton (talk) 15:15, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
BeanieFan11, how are you going on getting a QPQ for this? Vaticidalprophet 18:04, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'll make sure to get one later today or tomorrow – this is currently second-in-line on my "qpq needed" list. BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:06, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Onegreatjoke, Vaticidalprophet, and Bruxton: I reviewed a QPQ, but I just thought of a good ALT hook with two articles that would require a second QPQ - before I do that, I would like to know what you think of ALT1: ... that Julian Hill was the first player from Campbell University to make an NFL roster, but Brevin Allen was the first to play in a game? Source: as you can see here / here / here, Allen was a practice squad elevation who did play, while Hill who made the final roster did not play in the first game. BeanieFan11 (talk) 15:36, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
hm. I'm not huge on double hooks in most cases -- they tend to be less snappy -- and we already had a strong single hook here, but I see from Allen's article he was the first player from his high school to play in the NFL. We could give Allen his own nomination for that and let Hill get the college? Vaticidalprophet 15:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Eh, I kind of feel like being the first player from a high school to play in the NFL is a lot more common / less interesting than the first from a college - plus its really rare in my experience that the first to make a team ends up not being the first to play and someone else does - I think a combined hook is the best option if we're going to get both featured - let's see what Bruxton and Onegreatjoke think. BeanieFan11 (talk) 15:45, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I defer to @Vaticidalprophet:. Bruxton (talk) 18:05, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
To be clear, it's not the strongest of preferences -- so far as double hooks go this one's decent -- but I think it's a little stronger to have separate hooks. The new hook would need re-reviewing from scratch if you want to run with it, though, so it'd have to go back to DYKN in that case. Vaticidalprophet 18:09, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Vaticidalprophet: I do like the double hook more than the separate hooks option here - I'd be fine with it going back to DYKN (unless @Onegreatjoke: would be willing to review Allen too?) - is going with a double hook alright with you? BeanieFan11 (talk) 21:07, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also reviewed a second qpq in case we do the double hook: Template:Did you know nominations/Key date. BeanieFan11 (talk) 21:23, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Approving the double hook and both articles. Onegreatjoke (talk) 23:51, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
