First female lead?
editJungle Girl was the first sound serial to have a female lead.
The reference may claim this, but it doesn't appear to be accurate. Here are three earlier sound serials with female leads:
- The King of the Kongo starring Jacqueline Logan, 1929.
- The Perils of Pauline starring Evalyn Knapp, 1933.
- Queen of the Jungle starring Mary Kornman, 1935.
