Failed "good article" nomination

This article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of August 10, 2021, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Repetition of measurements and terms like "curve(s)" aren't great for readers.

2. Verifiable?: Most sources are from KDOT, with the exception of those about the state park and ruins (discussed below). Needs a greater variety of sources.

3. Broad in coverage?: The first two paragraphs of the History section are solely about the state park and ruins, which are not the focus of this article. No coverage beyond 1969 about the highway itself, which is also a major issue.

@SounderBruce: I agree, would it be ok to change the first two paragraphs to one paragraph like this: "Within Lake Scott State Park, just west of K-95, is the El Quartelejo Ruins. It is the remains of a structure thought to have been built by Taos Pueblo Indians who left New Mexico in 1664 to escape Spanish rule. K-95 passes about 0.6 miles (0.97 km) east of the area of the Battle of Punished Woman's Fork, the last Indian battle in the state."?

4. Neutral point of view?: Pass

5. Stable?: Pass

6. Images?: Pass

Based on the number of issues I could see from a quick glance, it's clear this one isn't ready for GA status. Please consider rewriting the Route description section from scratch and hunting for sources to fill out the History section before attempting another nomination.

Other issues

• Scenic byway designation is not mentioned in the body at all and is not cited.
• Using Google Maps to cite the pavement type is clear OR.
• "The roadway planned in 1966, curved northwest at East Scott Lake Drive." is an orphaned fragment and does not make grammatical sense.
• History section mentions that K-95 was approved in 1966, but the infobox lists 1967. The earliest date for the general corridor must be used and it needs to be spelled out clearly.
• Legends of Kansas and Legends of America don't seem to be reliable sources.
