The citation for Paul's statements regarding Trump and Obama are from a Press Release which he himself has published to PR Newswire and is a clear case of WP:COI. I propose for that to be removed or for an alternative citation with a neutral perspective. Many of the other information bear signs of clear COI and this needs to be addressed.

As a biography of a living person, editors of this article should be careful to avoid loaded terms like "leader of a doomsday sect," and "leader of the cult." These are obviously POV and unacceptable. Edison 23:18, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Expanded the article and added some references. Still need: 1)year of birth: news articles only state his age.2)Family details: has wife and children. 3)Any books written.Edison 17:53, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

POV edit

edit

To anyone who's watching this page: I just reverted this from the article, as it seems a little too POV. If the concern stated in the edit is genuine, someone may wish to reword it and work it into the article?

--WikiFanDec18--

I removed three sentences in total, because they do not cite any references. Secondly, there are written in very bad English. Thirdly, they are primarily intended to slander the person rather than putting forward facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiFanDec18 (talkcontribs) 08:02, 11 June 2007

Unimportant person

edit

This person has not been known to be of any importance, either in a political or in a religious sense. There's simply no reason to have an article about him here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.254.232.182 (talkcontribs) 06:00, 13 June 2007 This person is believed to be a key player in paid religion conversions in India.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaimalleshk (talkcontribs) 16:18, 20 July 2007

Please cite references when you accuse some one of anything. Do not just say ," He's known to have three wives and he married them after impregnating them". This site is not a front to show your personal indigination or whatever. This is an encyclopedia. Substantiate your words with proper evidence. If you want to slander this person, please , this is not the right place. Whatever you write must be 'verifiable'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.145.136.1 (talkcontribs) 10:10, 13 June 2007

Deletions of sourced material

edit

Interspersed with recent vandalism and WP:BLP violations, there was a deletion of a large section of well sourced material [1] which did not get reverted. The deletion was don without any discussion here and without a comment noting the basis on which it was based on Wikipedia policies and guidelines, I will add it back. Thanks. This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 18:21, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

KA PAUL

edit

This article on K.A.Paul looks like an advertisement and should be removed. The words sound more like a advertising campaign for the man who is shrouded in controversy. How come this articles doesnt have any information about his tax defaults and scandals? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicshop13 (talkcontribs) 12:22, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chronology section derived from slander site

edit

Was looking for info on the guy (who seems pretty dodgy) and stumbled across this. To my astonishment, it had the "chronology" section in it; evidently that part of the WP article was pasted straight out of it. That is not a WP:RS, and using stuff from it probably violates WP:BLP, so safest to delete. A chronology is doubtless a good thing; but that one was designed purely to slander, so we had probably better not repeat it.

Good move, thanks for catching that. While it's possible that the other site copied from here, our version was unsourced, and so the removal was correct. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:26, 3 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Praja Shanti Party

edit

KA Paul was the one who founded Praja Shanti Party and he launched it on October 5th, 2008. This source clearly mentions that. This point should be added here. This doesn't violate NPOV in anyway. GSS reverted this edit twice and mentioned that it was violating NPOV but I just don't understand how it is violating. They can make it clear why they think it is a violation or else they should refrain from reverting my contributions. Sharkslayer87 (talk) 17:52, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

His Brother's name

edit

There is no consensus in the sources for his Brother's name. Some mention his name as David Raju while others mention it as Daniel. For now, I am removing his brother's name. Below are a few sources which mention his brother's name as David Raju.

Article has a source saying the NY Times called him the "next Billy Graham" - it didn't, needs fixing

edit

I subscribe to the NY Times and a search came up empty, as did a regular Google Search. One source says this was in 2000, bujt I find one that[2] says front page story Jan 1 1999. And that was the clue. On that day the NY Times printed a story called "THE PREACHERS: A special report.; New Wave of Evangelists Vying for National Pulpit".[3] At the bottom of that story is a list cakked "Other Evangelists Rise to Prominence" with 4 names. His is the last. The quote is false. I need to think how to fix it.Doug Weller talk 17:28, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wallstreet Journal Article

edit

Hi, I don't have subscription to the Wallstreet Journal. This article "https://www.wsj.com/articles/evangelists-account-spurred-stone-to-seek-clinton-emails-from-wikileaks-11549066036" talks about KA Paul's involvement in Trump's administration but I cannot read it. Can someone who can read it update the article accordingly please. Thanks Sharkslayer87 (talk) 17:28, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Quran & Dr KA Paul

edit

This section begins with the phrase "Paul had indicated Terry Jones would call off the Quran burning for good." - but nowhere in the article is it explained who Terry Jones is, why he was going to burn a Quran, or how Paul was involved. The section is in need of a bit of context and explanation. Extua (talk) 17:26, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
