Articles on radio stations are to be titled with their call sign, not their on-air brand name. I've moved the article to KDLD and made KDLE a redirect, because according to TVRadioWorld KDLD is the primary callsign and KDLE is a repeater. If that's wrong, the article may be moved to KDLE, but it must be at a call sign. Bearcat 01:06, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
I edited and expanded the introduction and created the Shows and Hosts section, though I was not signed in for much of the editing. After adding more of Indie's shows, the section seems unwieldy in bullet points. Would subheadings be appropriate here? Also, it would be great if someone could research the various awards and citations the station has received. Cheeselouise September 11, 2006.
Shows Add
editI've added two new shows to the Shows and Hosts section and made sure that they (the shows) were in brodcast order beginning with Monday morning. I also moved the non-curent shows to the end of the list. Socalicitizen 7 May 2007.
Fair use rationale for Image:INDIE1031FM.png
editImage:INDIE1031FM.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Needs new article?
editThere is quite a bit of current information on the internet-only Indie 103.1. However, the internet-only station has nothing to do with KDLD, the subject of this article. There should probably be a separate article on the current non-radio station. 72Dino (talk) 01:34, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- If anything, a lot of the stuff should be removed. Do we really need the entire list of current webstream shows on here, when one can easily find it on the station's website? And considering that Indie103.1 is no longer on the 103.1 signal anyways? I know there's a lot of fanboys who like to clog up these articles with as much unnecessary information as possible (which is why I tend to be a bit hesitant to edit articles of Top 40, hip-hop and all-sports stations, lest I get into ridiculous edit wars with people who don't know what they're doing).--Fightingirish (talk) 22:07, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- I am trying to split the article to the reflect the current indie1031.com internet radio, along with its history, as this new station has nothing to do with the current KDLD station. Right now the article is in my sandbox at User:72Dino/Indie 103.1. I am going to put it in article space and let everyone have at it. Before I make the change, I wanted to get a consensus for the split on this talk page. Thanks, 72Dino (talk) 20:59, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- I moved the information about the internet radio station to Indie 103.1. 72Dino (talk) 20:23, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Merger proposal
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was merge, though much of the point has been rendered moot by article expansion going far and beyond the contents of KACD-FM (defunct). Raymie (t • c) 06:23, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
There is substantial overlap between the article at KACD-FM (defunct) and this one. A merge of that article into this one would mean we would not have duplicate articles on essentially the same topic, and we shouldn't have more than one article about an FM radio station. Raymie (t • c) 23:20, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support merger of KACD-FM (defunct) into KDLD. Both articles are about the same subject, and their are no exceptional circumstances here that would warrant a separate article.--Tdl1060 (talk) 02:57, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- Judging by the lack of interest and the substantial improvements made by Tdl1060, a merge is no longer necessary as additional information about the stations' history is being added here. I'm closing the proposal. Raymie (t • c) 06:23, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
