Some proposed changes
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
* Specific text to be added: KPIT Technologies Limited is a technology company headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
* Specific text to be removed: KPIT Technologies Limited (formerly KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd) is an Indian multinational corporation headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
* Reason for the change: Since KPIT is a global partner to the automotive and mobility ecosystem, it is requested that we update the first sentence that highlights that KPIT is an Indian multinational corporation.

- Not done for now: Please provide independent sourcing, not press releases. In any case, technology company vs multinational is a trivial distinction, no? PK650 (talk) 23:48, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @PK650
- Please note that we had raised a request to replace the sentence "KPIT Technologies Limited (formerly KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd) is an Indian multinational corporation headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India" with "KPIT Technologies Limited is a global technology company headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India."
- The above request was made since KPIT is referred as a global partner to the automotive and mobility ecosystem, it is requested that we update the first sentence that highlights that KPIT is an Indian multinational corporation.

- Hi. Per my rationale above, I am of the opinion "global technology company" is simply PR jargon and has no real meaning given corporations are by definition almost always "global"; we already know KPIT deals with technology. Feel free to make another request if seeking a second opinion. PK650 (talk) 01:18, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
